The NCIS aims to develop a new cadre of teachers interested in teaching and research through innovative and rigorous industry based full-time programme, part time programme and distance education. NCIS believes that most important challenge facing by India is the education of its youth. Consequently, an attempt is made to foster the development of each student special abilities encourage them to experiment and undertake research in the areas of interest and provide guidance in exploring new approaches to teaching & learning situations. Each student has ample opportunities at NCIS to obtain and synthesize essential knowledge, principles and concepts from several disciplines and to test the ability to utilize them in dealing with issues and problems. Thus, the curriculum of NCIS is broadly conceived so as to include the view of its students expressed by them in the feedback forms.

The objective of NCIS teacher training programme is to develop the profession of teaching on sound ethical lines through rigorous standards, certification and continuing education by applying techniques for development of creativity in classroom & non-classroom situations. By describing various theories of learning and applying those in promoting advance learning. Additionally, to develop, nurture and maintain close intra-institutional relationship with other institutions interested in a similar effort from India and abroad.

Prospect of study for university students: Certificates holders are eligible for credit transfer to the second year of relevant diploma programme. Diploma holders are eligible for credit transfer to the third year of relevant graduation programme. B. Ed. Holders are eligible for credit transfer to the second year of M.A. (Education) Programme.
